At the Miami Valley Regional, the team was honored with the Gracious Professionalism Award after being recognized as the team that provided the most assistance to fellow competitors in their times of need. “I think the group is important because it teaches kids how to become a leader and work with others as a team,” says Beck. “It’s also an outlet for students who love STEM-related subjects and challenges. I think it’s important to have something like this available in our community and I feel lucky to have the team available to me.” The team’s always looking to expand its logistical and financial support for STEM education in the community. “With a sturdier team, we can kickstart and equip more FLL teams and reach more kids,” she explains.
