THIS IS YOUR CHANCE BY HELPING THE WASHINGTON CITY MISSION. Pre-Registration Required During the week of Dec. 17 through 22 the Recreation Center instructors will be offering free fitness classes. We are asking those who will attend a fitness class to donate any new or slightly used men’s, woman’s, or children clothing. We will also be accepting clothing donations if you do not participate in a class. Look for email blasts and Facebook posts for updates and a schedule! TRICK OR TREAT TRAIL (AGES 10 AND UNDER) Come dressed in costume and trick or treat along the paved trail. *Pre‑registration is required. Instructor: Recreation Staff Day: Saturday, Oct. 20 Time: 1 p.m. (line up begins at 12:45 p.m.) Fee: FREE Location: Community Recreation Center (near baseball field) Registration Deadline: Wednesday, Oct. 17 Attention Local Businesses! We are looking for businesses and organizations to set up along the trail and pass out treats. This is a great opportunity to reach out to the families in our community. Friday, Oct. 12 Hocus Pocus (PG) “Spooky Movie Night” with a witch costume contest! PARENTS’ NIGHT OUT (AGES 5 TO 10) Minimum 8 – Maximum 25 Need to do some last-minute holiday shopping or just looking for some time to yourself? Send the kids to the Recreation Center for a night of holiday themed gym games, activities, and pizza! Pre-registration is required. Enjoy the sounds of the season at the Tree Lighting ceremony, followed by a visit with Santa, a craft, and refreshments in the library.
