New Aerial
Fire Truck
The new aerial fire truck is pictured
operating at the scene of a house fire in
August 2018. The aerial was purchased
from Rosenbauer America through Kaza
Fire Equipment and placed in-service by the
department in July 2018. The truck replaced
a 2000 Ferrara 75' aerial that was sold to
Charleroi Fire Department earlier in the year.
Green Thumb Award
Congratulations to Summit Physical Therapy and McMenamin
Insurance Group on winning the 3rd Annual Green Thumb
Award.
The Green Thumb Award is an annual award given to a
local business by the Environmental Quality Board. The board
acknowledges one business each year that shows a commitment
to our township's community spirit and beautification. They look
for businesses that maintain a clean storefront and add to the
beautification of their street through landscape design or other
natural efforts.
Willhaven Partners, which is owned by Nicholas J. Martin and
Mark Mascio of Summit Physical Therapy, and Dan McNemain
of McMenamin Insurance Group, came together in 2010 to
build the new office building situated on Willhaven Drive and
facing Route 19. Dan has incorporated many flowers passed
down to him from his grandmother’s yard in Philadelphia, and
he continues to add and edit each year. Mark and Nick have
also incorporated their landscaping skills by helping to pick the
plants and tress adorning the hillside between the parking lots
and surrounding grassy areas. The landscaping and building
appearance are something that both businesses take great pride
in, and they are honored to be recognized for their efforts.
