FIRST LEGO League Jr. Kick-Off
Wednesday, Oct. 19 6:30 to 7:30 p. m.
FIRST LEGO League Jr. is designed to introduce STEM concepts to kids ages 6 to 10 while exciting them through a brand they know and love – LEGO. Guided by adult coaches, teams explore a real-world scientific challenge, create a poster of discovery and construct a motorized model of what they learnedall in a non-competitive environment. The 2016-2017 challenge is CREATURE CRAZE. Come to hear what it is all about and join a team!
Jr. Students Active for Environment( SAFE) Club
Grades 4 through 8 Second and Fourth Mondays of the Month Immediately after school to 5 p. m.
Learn more about the beautiful planet we call home by joining our Jr. SAFE Club. Assisted by members of the PTHS SAFE Club, every session will explore a different environmental theme or issue. We ' ll have lots of fun hands-on activities while learning about our world.
Chinese Language for Children

This class will combine Mandarin Chinese lessons and an extensive range of culture activities to makes sure students get the most out of their experience with the Chinese language. The basis pronunciation, meaningful characters, phrases, sentence structures, writing and cultures will be introduced. Beginners are welcome. Homeschoolers ' Group
Children of all ages with a parent Second and Fourth Wednesdays of the Month 1:30 to 2:30 p. m.
Share your experiences and get great tips at this twice a month homeschoolers ' group. While the parents facilitate their own idea swap, their multi-age children will participate in an enrichment class. Registration at the Youth Services Desk is preferred, but walk-ins are welcome.

Peters Township Public Library was recently selected to be one of 13 Inquire Within libraries with WQED! We will be able to offer MORE wonderful programs featuring your favorite PBS Kids characters.
