Meet with Technology and Makerspace Librarian Sarah Quinn for these programs in the Makerspace on the 2nd floor . Registration is required for all programs .
INTRO TO MACHINE SEWING For adults only Monday , June 10 , 1:30 to 3 p . m ., July 8 , 6 to 7:30 p . m . Learn how to use the Makerspace sewing machines ! During this program , participants will learn how to thread a machine , wind a bobbin and replace the needle . After the demonstration , participants will have the opportunity to try out a few stitches on our sewing machines and learn how they can access the machines outside of the program . This program is intended for beginners .
NEEDLE FELTING For ages 13 and up , Tuesday , June 18 , 2 to 3:30 p . m . For adults only , Thursdays , June 13 , July 11 & July 18 , 2 to 3:30 p . m . Needle felting is the process of transforming wool into 3D objects using a barbed needle . We will make a needle felted mushroom in June and fruit in July . All materials will be provided . Please register for only one class per month .
CRICUT CREATIONS For ages 13 and up Wednesday , June 19 , 2 to 3:30 p . m . or 6 to 7:30 p . m . Thursday , July 25 , 2 to 3:30 p . m . or 6 to 7:30 p . m . Join Technology and Makerspace Librarian Sarah Quinn and learn how to use the Cricut to make a themed project . All materials will be provided . Please register for only one class per month .
3D MODEL SOFTWARE INTRO For ages 13 and up Tuesday , July 9 , 6 to 7:30 p . m . Learn the basics of Tinkercad , a 3D modeling software . Tinkercad is a free online 3D modeling program that uses the constructive solid geometry method of building 3D models . Our Technology and Makerspace Librarian will teach you the basics of Tinkercad as she guides you through a project .
SEW CREATIVE For adults only Monday , July 22 , 5:30 to 6:30 p . m . OR 6:30 to 7:30 p . m . During this program , you will use the Makerspace ’ s sewing machines to create a simple project . This program is intended for beginner sewers who have a basic understanding of how to use a sewing machine . All materials will be provided .

CRICUT MACHINE 101 For ages 13 and up Thursday , June 27 , 2 to 3:30 p . m , Tuesday , July 30 , 2 to 3:30 p . m . Learn how to use the Cricut Maker 3 ! The Cricut maker 3 is a smart cutting machine that can cut over 300 different materials . During this class , you will learn the capabilities of the Cricut machine , navigate through the Design Space software and complete a simple cut paper shape . This program is intended for beginners . All materials will be provided .
3D PEN ART For ages 13 and up Friday , June 28 , 2 to 3:30 p . m . Tuesday , July 16 , 2:30 to 4 p . m . Create 3D designs using the Makerspace ’ s 3D Pens , which extrude plastic from the pen ’ s nozzle that cools into a solid , stable structure , allowing for the free-hand creation of threedimensional objects . There will be a variety of templates to use , or you can design your own project . All materials will be provided .
EMBROIDERY MACHINE BASICS For adults only Monday , July 1 , 4:30 to 7:30 p . m . Register for a one-on-one session to learn how to use the Makerspace ’ s Baby Lock Aventura II Embroidery Machine . During this 45-minute session , you will learn the ins and outs of the embroidery machine and complete a small project to take home .
