CARNEGIE SCIENCE CENTER : ONE WORLD , ONE SKY For Pre-K to 2nd grade Friday , June 14 , 10 to 10:45 a . m . Blast off through space and time with the Carnegie Science Center ’ s digital SkyBox planetarium ! Based on the popular children ’ s show Sesame Street , this cross-cultural planetarium show provides an introduction to astronomy as Elmo and his friend , Hu Hu Zhu , from the Chinese production of Sesame Street , go on an exciting adventure to discover the Sun , Moon , and Stars .
CARNEGIE SCIENCE CENTER : PLANETS For Grades 2 to 6 Friday , June 14 , 11:30 a . m . to 12:15 p . m . Carnegie Science Center ’ s digital SkyBox planetarium show Planets explores the difference between stars and planets , how we can recognize a planet in the night sky and planetary motion . Using powerful software and an HD projector , this portable flatscreen planetarium program brings the Science Center to you ! Please note : In order to accommodate more families , only register your child for one planetarium program .

In this program , student will discover and explore our feathered friends ’ amazing feet , feathers and beaks ! CHESS WITH A CHAMPION For Grades 1 to 6 Third Tuesday of the month , 6:30 to 7:30 p . m . ( June 18 and July 16 ) Frank Gavlak , our local chess expert , will be sharing basic chess play techniques and skills to make your game even better . Create and name your design to be displayed in the Youth Services Department . It will stay on display until just before the next Lego night . Registration is required for each child participating .
