Learn how to make one of these popular wreaths and take your
unique masterpiece home with you that night! Come to the
library to see a sample of a completed wreath and pick up a list
of supplies. Class has a maximum of 15 participants.

75th ANNIVERSARY OF D-DAY
Tuesday, June 11, 6:30 to 8:45 p.m.
See period uniforms and personal equipment of the armies
involved in WWII including German, American, and British
soldiers. Items will be displayed on life-size mannequins for
maximum authenticity. See a WWII-era Jeep that will be in the
library parking lot during the event. Area veterans and their
families will be sharing artifacts, photographs, documents, and
memorabilia from their private and personal collections.
GIVE BLOOD – GET PIRATES TICKETS
Tuesday, June 18, 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
We are facing an alarming reduction of blood donors in the
greater Pittsburgh area! Donations in our region have decreased
by 50% in the past 10 years. There is no substitute for your
generosity to support life through blood donation. The library
is hosting a Vitalant (formerly Central Blood Bank) blood
drive to help the community blood supply. In return for your
kindness, participating donors will receive a pair of tickets to an
upcoming Pirates baseball game. To schedule an appointment,

code C594, or call 877.258.4825. Walk-ins are welcome, but
appointments are strongly encouraged.
