PURPLE PEOPLE EATER KARAOKE Monday, July 29 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Be a Purple People Eater and wear purple to this Karaoke event. Warm up those vocal chords and come sing a solo, duet, or as a family group. Anything goes…it is all just for fun! UNIVERSE OF STORIES SUMMER READING CHALLENGE CHARCOAL DRAWING WITH SOFT PASTELS Ages: 6 ½ to 13 4 weeks, June 4 through 25, Tuesdays, 4 to 5:30 p.m. Limit: 15 children Cost: $20 plus supplies Students will learn basic charcoal drawing techniques with soft pastels. WATERCOLOR PENCILS – PEN AND INK TECHNIQUE Ages: 6 ½ to 13 4 weeks, July 9 through 30, Tuesdays, 4 to 5:30 p.m. Limit: 15 children Cost: $20 plus supplies Students will learn basic pen and ink technique with watercolor pencils. The Teen Summer Reading Challenge will run from June 24 through August 16. Sign-ups begin on June 8. This program rewards YOU for reading! Simply come to the library, check out books, fill out a review of your book, and win! Attend any of our awesome teen programs offered this summer and earn even more chances to win. Students will meet at the library over the summer to understand their assigned readings and complete their assignments on time through guided discussion with a certified teacher. Prevent procrastination and last-minute cramming! These sessions will promote a deeper understanding of the readings and help students get off to a strong start for the upcoming school year.
