Be a Purple People Eater and wear purple to this Karaoke event.
Warm up those vocal chords and come sing a solo, duet, or as
a family group. Anything goes…it is all just for fun! Register at
the Youth Services Desk, and pick up a list of the Karaoke songs
available.

UNIVERSE OF STORIES SUMMER READING CHALLENGE
CHARCOAL DRAWING WITH SOFT PASTELS
Ages: 6 ½ to 13
4 weeks, June 4 through 25, Tuesdays, 4 to 5:30 p.m.
Limit: 15 children
Cost: $20 plus supplies
Students will learn basic charcoal drawing techniques with soft
pastels. Register at the Library Services Desk. Please see supply
list when registering.
WATERCOLOR PENCILS – PEN AND INK TECHNIQUE
Ages: 6 ½ to 13
4 weeks, July 9 through 30, Tuesdays, 4 to 5:30 p.m.
Limit: 15 children
Cost: $20 plus supplies
Students will learn basic pen and ink technique with watercolor
pencils. Register at the Library Services Desk. Please see supply
list when registering.
What better way to spend the summer than reading a good
book or chillaxin with friends? The Teen Summer Reading
Challenge will run from June 24 through August 16. Sign-ups
begin on June 8. This program rewards YOU for reading!
Simply come to the library, check out books, fill out a review of
your book, and win! Attend any of our awesome teen programs
offered this summer and earn even more chances to win. At the
end of the summer, we will count all of the reading responses,
and the teens that read the most books will win a gift card!

PETERS TOWNSHIP
The library in partnership with the Huntington Learning
Center is offering a new Summer Reading Book Club designed
especially for Peters Township High School students. Students
will meet at the library over the summer to understand their
assigned readings and complete their assignments on time
through guided discussion with a certified teacher. Prevent
procrastination and last-minute cramming! These sessions will
promote a deeper understanding of the readings and help
students get off to a strong start for the upcoming school year.
