Peters Township ’ s Jennifer Sauro DiLucia brings good news to Pittsburgh with her podcast .

Peters Township ’ s Jennifer Sauro DiLucia is celebrating the release of the 50th episode of her popular podcast , “ Spill with Me , Jenny D .” DiLucia , 50 , was born and raised in Pittsburgh and has lived in the South Hills for most of her life . She went to St . Francis Academy High School in Castle Shannon , which closed in 1991 , the year she graduated .
“ In my high school yearbook , I wrote in my ‘ Future Plans ’ section that I wanted to be the next Oprah Winfrey ,” says DiLucia . “ I ’ ve always wanted to have my own talk show .”
DiLucia is no stranger to holding a mic and being in the spotlight . She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Westminster College , where she majored in broadcasting and minored in theatre arts . “ I started the Entertainment Report on my local television station , WWNW ,” she recalls . “ I wanted to report good news and feel-good stories . Being at a smaller school , I worked at the radio station as a freshman . I went by the name ‘ The Lady C ’ for my middle name . I would have a dedication night for students or area residents .”
After college , DiLucia worked at some radio and television stations in Pittsburgh . She was an on-air sports broadcaster for radio and TV , and did marketing and sales for a number of stations . She also was a pledge host at WQED and worked for the Variety 96.1 morning show , taking contest winners onto the field at Steelers home games . DiLucia was also a producer for Myron Cope , Bill Hillgrove and Guy Junker for some sporting events off-site , but put her career on hold to raise her children — Lexi , now 22 , Jake , 19 , and Nolan , 15 .
“ I looked into doing my own podcast during COVID-19 ,” she explains . “ I felt there was a need to put something out there where people could express themselves and share their stories .”
DiLucia started her podcast in January 2022 . “ I had to learn how to use the technology and develop my own marketing strategies through social media — which I did not grow up using !” she says .
