PETERS TOWNSHIP HIGH SCHOOL TO PRESENT SPRING MUSICAL : ‘ ANYTHING GOES ’
Peters Township High School is going back in time for this year ’ s spring musical . “ Anything Goes ,” a classic musical that debuted in 1934 , will be presented March 16-18 at 7 p . m ., and March 19 at 2 p . m . in the high school auditorium .
Join in on this hilarious musical romp across the Atlantic , directed by Ray Cygrymus and assistant directed by Jeanie Cygrymus . The musical features Cole Porter ’ s joyful score , including “ I Get a Kick Out of You ,” “ You ’ re the Top ” and the show stopping “ Anything Goes .”
Tickets will be available online on the school website and at the door —$ 15 for adults and $ 10 for students and seniors .
PETERS TOWNSHIP HOCKEY PLAYERS SELECTED FOR ATLANTIC GIRLS HOCKEY FEDERATION ALL-STAR WEEKEND
The Atlantic Girls Hockey Federation ( AGHF ) hosted All-Star games on Dec . 10 at Ice Vault Arena in Wayne , New Jersey . Each AGHF team was allocated roster spots in the games based on KRACH ratings ( a measurement based on a team ’ s record and schedule ) as of Nov . 6 . The higher the KRACH , the more roster spots a team is given for the All-Star game .
Local athletes Cameron Reese Haught , Ella Hammel and Reagan Fisher were selected to represent their South Pittsburgh Tier 2 AA girls hockey team . Their black jersey team went undefeated with 6-1 and 7-0 games over the weekend .
Cameron Reese Haught , a 9th grader at Peters Township High School , skated away with a goal on the weekend .
Ella Hammel , an 8th grader at Peters Township Middle School , skated away with two goals .
Reagan Fisher , an 8th grader at Peters Township Middle School , skated away with a goal and two assists .
The Atlantic Girls Hockey Federation is a USA Hockey Sanctioned Elite Tier II Youth Hockey League that facilitates games throughout the Mid-Atlantic
region for its club members and families . The AGHF provides high-quality league games and showcases for more than 60 teams in the Mid-Atlantic , uniquely catering to its member-owned clubs . The AGHF currently fields girls hockey programs at Platinum and Diamond divisions for the following age groups : 10U , 12U , 14U ( Diamond / Platinum ), 16U ( Diamond / Platinum ), and 19U . The AGHF is truly a unique opportunity as each of the founders and member clubs operate at all levels of girls hockey .

PROVIDENCE POINT LIFEGUARDS SAVE LIFE
On Dec . 26 , a resident of Providence Point in Scott Township had a medical emergency while swimming in the pool that required lifesaving measures . The experienced Wellness team lifeguards Cyndi Standaert , Julia Cipollone and Tess Reinhart , as well as Wellness Director Fabi Cheistwer , sprang into action to provide immediate care . EMS arrived on the scene and the responders were certain that the quick actions of the Wellness team saved the life of the gentleman . n
