or over 25 years, Julian Gray and his team have been providing
legal advice necessary to help people in the fields of elder
law, estate planning and special needs planning. This year, the
practice has just opened another office in Peters Township to make it
even easier for clients to seek out the legal help they need, whether it’s
in a moment of immediate crisis or in planning for the future.
“We’re a unique law firm focusing on disability and estate planning
for young and old clients alike,” said Julian Gray, owner and longtime
Peters Township resident. “My youngest client is 2 years old. My oldest
one is 101 and we represent everyone in between. People seek us out
because we only concentrate in these practice areas and have nine
certified elder law attorneys; 21 staff members overall.”
The Certified Elder Law designation conferred by the National
Elder Law Foundation is the only one accredited by the American Bar
Association and recognized by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. Julian
Gray Associates has more Certified Elder Law attorneys on staff than
any other legal practice in the country.
“It’s more than just a certification to us,” Gray said. “It’s proof of our
commitment to experience and education in the field of elder law,
disability and special needs planning. This is all we do and we’ve
handled thousands of cases.”
He explained that there are at least two common situations when
clients seek out his services: When adult children of aging parents start
transitioning into caregivers for those parents; and after a traumatic
event such as when a person experiences a fall or medical event.
“Adult children don’t know where to turn for resources and
government benefits available to them or if they even qualify. Seniors
who had a stroke or a fall have a variety of different issues that
need to be addressed if they want to secure their futures,” Gray said.
“Healthcare doesn’t get any cheaper as we get older and our needs
will always increase with age. It’s easier to plan for these things before
the crisis hits, both financially and mentally, for everyone involved.”
Julian Gray Associates is so committed to the needs of seniors that
it even has two social workers on staff, with over 30 years of combined
experience to assist family members in crisis. These highly qualified
advocates are equipped to assist seniors and families in times of
emotional duress so that their rights remain intact and needs can
be addressed until they are in a position to do more comprehensive
planning.
