WQED WRITERS CONTEST
It is the 10 year anniversary
of the WQED Writers
Contest funded by EQT. As
part of the anniversary
celebration, the Peters
Township Public Library was
provided a publishing center from EQT. Our new publishing
center will consist of a color printer, binding machine, paper, and
other materials. All materials are free to use. Students in grades
K-5 are encouraged to take part in the WQED Writers Contest.
During February and March, the publishing center will be
available only to students who are participating in the WQED
Writers Contest. The WQED Publishing Center will be open
from 4 to 7 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays starting
on January 28. Please call or visit the library to sign up for a
20-minute time slot to use the resources. You will have the help
of a library staff member or volunteer.
Want some extra help with your Writers Contest submission?
Bring your story to the Youth Services Department any time
during open hours on February 26, 27, or 28. A library staff
member will proofread your story which you can pick up
following week. Good luck writers!
