PETERS CREEK HISTORICAL SOCIETY PRESENTS ANNUAL“ SOUP AND STROLL”
The Peters Creek Historical Society invites the community to its annual“ Soup and Stroll” Holiday Open House at the historic Enoch Wright House— located at 815 Venetia Road in Venetia— on Saturday, Dec. 6, from noon to 3:30 p. m. Kick-off the holiday season with a cozy trip back in time, dining amid the 18th-century charm of this beautifully preserved home. Guests will enjoy a homemade meal featuring hearty soup, dessert and a beverage served in the keeping room and dining rooms. Afterward, stroll upstairs to view a collection of“ Old Barn” paintings by artist Margie Mersky.
Admission is $ 12 for adults and $ 5 for children under 10, with tickets available at the door.
The celebration continues on Sunday, Dec. 7, from noon to 2 p. m., with a Holiday Décor Stroll, offering visitors a chance to experience the house’ s festive Christmas decorations. Admission is $ 5 for adults and $ 1 for children. The onsite log cabin will also be open for tours both days.
PTHS THESPIAN TROUPE # 185 SHINES IN FALL PLAY
The Peters Township High School production of“ The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon” by Don Zolidis— directed by frequent collaborators Kelly Barefoot and Gina Duffy— delivered an evening of riotous laughter and sharp wit.
With a cast of 45 and a crew of 20 students, the show was a true testament to collaborative creativity and high-energy performance. Narrators Kole Martin and Charley Adcock anchored the production with masterful timing and comedic finesse, guiding audiences through a whirlwind of fairy-tale mashups that were equal parts chaotic and clever. The ensemble shone with hilariously cheeky performances, transforming classic stories into inventive vignettes filled with physical humor, quick changes, and knowing self-awareness.
Barefoot and Duffy’ s direction balanced controlled chaos with genuine charm, ensuring every gag landed and every moment of madness had purpose. The result was a wildly entertaining, laughout-loud spectacle that showcased the immense talent and teamwork of the entire student company.
PETERS TOWNSHIP GIRLS YOUTH LACROSSE REGISTRATION NOW OPEN!
Registration is officially open for the 2026 Peters Township Girls Youth Lacrosse season! PT girls in grades 1 – 8 are invited to join“ the fastest game on two feet” and be part of an exciting, teamoriented program.
The season runs January through May, beginning with indoor practices in January and February, followed by outdoor practices and games from March through the end of May.

PETERS TOWNSHIP BOYS YOUTH LACROSSE REGISTRATION
Registration for the 2026 Peters Township Boys Youth Lacrosse season is open now through Jan. 11. Boys in grades K-8 are invited to register; no experience required. Players will learn the game of lacrosse in an instructional and friendly environment.
Preseason indoor practices begin in January and move outside at Peterswood Park during the season. Games are played from March through May against teams from other Townships, with an end of season tournament to conclude the season.
