Dr . Nicholas Palmer and wife Kacey purchased Cartwright Orthodontics last year . This practice was known and loved for years by the residents in this township . Dr . Cartwright has retired , and Dr . Palmer is now the solo doctor in the practice . Dr . Palmer is serving the residents of the township where he grew up , the township he loves , and the place where he and his wife now live with their one-year-old daughter .
Dr . Palmer is a board-certified orthodontist . He completed his bachelor ’ s degree , dental school and orthodontic residency in West Virginia but his heart was always in Pittsburgh . Originally , he graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering which ultimately led him to the field of orthodontics . He stated , “ There is a very close relationship between engineering and orthodontics … Moving teeth is about the forces that are exerted that ultimately design a great smile !”
As the solo doctor in the practice , it affords Dr . Palmer the opportunity to listen closely to his patients who are like family to him . He also has a natural , “ people-person ” demeanor . This smallsized practice guarantees a great deal of personal attention to its patients . Services include traditional braces , pediatric orthodontics , adult orthodontics , missing teeth , orthodontic emergencies , and orthodontic appliances .
Smiles by Palmer has also carried on the legacy of awarding four $ 500 scholarships to patients of the practice . These scholarships are meant for high school seniors , to help them succeed with their postsecondary education . This is just another way that Smiles By Palmer supports the community .
