CURIOUS ABOUT CODING?
Dec. 6, 7 to 8 p.m.
The Hour of Code™ is a nationwide initiative
to introduce millions of people of all ages to
one hour of computer science and
programming. Join us for a fun, self-guided,
hands-on activity to learn some coding. We have a limited
number of computers and iPads available, so please bring
your own laptop or tablet to take part if you can.
HARRY POTTER ESCAPE ROOM
Ages 18 and up
Saturday, Jan. 5, 1 to 8 p.m.
Hogwarts is under attack but are you clever enough
to escape? Sign up your group to see if you have what
it takes to escape before the Death Eaters find you!
Registration is limited and small groups may be paired
with other groups to complete the Escape Room. Call or
visit the library to sign up for a half hour time slot.

Covering the basics of Microsoft Word, this class will cover
creating and saving documents, navigating the toolbars, and
different ways of customizing your information.
INTRO TO EXCEL (LAB)
Monday, Dec. 17, 7 to 8 p.m.
This class covers the basics of Microsoft Excel – including
creating a spreadsheet, working with rows and columns,
customization, and an introduction to formulas.

Google is a great place to get information—but it’s not
always the BEST place to get information. Learn about some
of the great resources the library has for conducting online
research—such as World Book Online and the new POWER
Library databases.
BOOK-A-LIBRARIAN
If you need a little extra help learning how to use your
phone or tablet, or have questions about just how
something works, come get hands-on, personalized help
navigating your new (or old) device. This is a drop-in class;
registration is not required.
