Enjoy 2018 Coupon Book Available at the Library The Peters Township Library Foundation is sponsoring the sale of the “Enjoy 2018 Coupon Book.” Coupon books are $30 each an d available at the Circulation Desk. What a great gift idea! Last day to purchase a copy is Dec. 30. Proceeds benefit the library. Playaway: A Playaway is a portable media player designed for libraries. When it comes to audiobook formats, Playaways are a great choice! Unlike audio CD’s or downloads, a Playaway does not need a separate player. Instead, they come pre-loaded with a single audiobook and ready to use. At only two ounces and five narration speeds, you can easily listen at your own pace. Plug in your own earbuds or auxiliary cord to listen on the go. Earbuds and auxiliary cords are available at the Circulation Desk for a small fee. Look for our Playaway collection on the first floor. Playaways can be borrowed from the library for a two-week period. OverDrive: Did you know you can borrow audiobooks for free from the library? All you need is your WAGGIN card and an Internet connection. You can search through 1,000 downloadable audiobooks available 24/7 with no late fees since titles are automatically returned. You can browse titles, place holds, and create wish lists. OverDrive has several tutorials on getting started, how to borrow, read, and return eBooks and audiobooks, and how to use the OverDrive app and Libby – a ground-breaking eBook reader and audiobook player. The 2017 Hour of Code™ takes place this year Dec. 4 through 10. Join us to learn about how coding is used in our society, and enjoy a fun, self-guided, hands-on activity to do some coding on your own. In order to participate in the activity, a computer will be needed. We have a limited number of computers and iPads available, so please bring your own laptop or tablet to participate if you can. Teen Tech Tuesdays Audiobooks on CD: Check out our collection on the second floor of the library. The audio discs can be played on a CD player in your car, home, computer, or mobile player. Some CD’s come in MP3 format to be transferred to a portable MP3 player. Audiobooks can be borrowed from the library for a two-week period. Audiobooks Featured Resource:
