Homebound Delivery

Feeling under the weather and not able to visit the library? Let us bring the library to you! Our Homebound Delivery Service is available to township residents of any age who are unable to come to the library due to a temporary or permanent illness, visual problem or other limitation. Volunteers will select, deliver and pick up library materials to qualifying residents for a three week period. If interested in using this service, please complete a PTPL Homebound Delivery Form and return it to the library. Forms are available online at www. ptlibrary. org under“ using the library,” or at the Circulation Desk. Don’ t have a WAGGIN Library Card? No problem, we can sign you up for a new one when we deliver!

There is no substitute for the generosity of someone willing to support life through blood donation. The need, here in the Pittsburgh area, is great. The library is hosting a Central Blood Bank mobile blood drive to help the community blood supply. To schedule your life saving appointment, please call 1.866.366.6771 or log onto www. centralbloodbank. org, click Donate Blood. All participating donors will receive a " ugly-holiday-sweater " T-shirt as a thank you. Preregistration preferred, however, walk-ins are welcome.

1000 Books Before Kindergarten

The Peters Township Public Library invites you to participate in the“ 1000 Books Before Kindergarten” program in partnership with author / illustrator Jackie Urbanovic. This free program encourages you to read 1,000 books with your child before he or she starts kindergarten. We will help you achieve your goal and celebrate you and your child every step of the way! The concept is simple, yet the rewards are priceless. Stop by the Youth Services Desk to register your little reader, pick up the first log sheet, and stock up on lots of books!
