Gynecologic Oncology Now Available at UPMC Magee-Womens in Washington
Jamie Lesnock, MD, a board-certified gynecologic oncologist with the UPMC Magee-Womens Gynecologic Cancer Program, now sees patients in Washington, Pa.
Gynecologic oncologists specialize in treating cancers of the female reproductive organs. They work closely with colleagues at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center to connect patients with the right treatment— ranging from surgery to chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and radiation therapy.
Gynecologic cancers include cervical, ovarian, uterine, vaginal, and vulvar cancer. Because symptoms of gynecologic cancers can mimic other conditions, it’ s important to be aware of these possible warning signs:
• Abnormal vaginal bleeding or discharge.
