STORIES IN STONE Wednesday, August 27, 6 to 7 p. m. Hybrid program – Join us in the library or watch via Zoom from home Have you ever wandered through a cemetery and wondered about the meanings of the designs carved on old gravestones? The symbols found on headstones usually possess special meanings to those interred in their final resting place. But what do they mean? Take a virtual tour of several cemeteries and find out! Our speaker Debra Dudek, genealogist, author, and librarian, will join us virtually via Zoom.

LINOCUT: STAMP CARVING Thursday, August 21, 2 to 3:30 p. m. Join Technology and Makerspace Librarian Sarah Quinn to learn about linocut, the printmaking technique of carving stamps. In this class, you can design your own stamp or use one of the provided templates. After transferring the design, participants will carve their stamp and use it to decorate a bookmark. All materials will be provided.
HOW TO GROW GARLIC Saturday, August 30, 2 to 3 p. m. Fall is the time to plant garlic! Learn about how to select cloves, plant them, and grow garlic in this presentation with Penn State Ext. Washington County Master Gardeners.
3D MODELING Thursday, September 4, 6 to 7:30 p. m. Learn the basics of Tinkercad, a free online 3D modeling program that uses the constructive solid geometry method of building 3D models. Our Technology and Makerspace Librarian will teach you the basics of Tinkercad as she guides you through a project. All participants must have a basic understanding of how to use a computer.
E-RESOURCE EXPLORATION Tuesday, September 23, 2 to 2:45 p. m. Hybrid program – Join us in the Makerspace on the 2nd floor or watch via Zoom from home Explore one of the free e-resources provided by the Peters Township Public Library.
