Of all the valuable lessons taught in the classrooms over their three years at PTMS, Giaquinto believes that perhaps what they learn at Thon tops them all.“ Life is about more than just you,” she said,“ middle schoolers don’ t always get a lot of credit at this age, but they can do really cool things if we encourage them.”
Long after the last song faded and the decorations came down, the impact of those six hours continued. A few weeks after the event, the students presented a very large check to the Children’ s Home of Pittsburgh. Their hard work will help provide care, comfort and critical services to children and families in our region.
On one cold night in January, 250 silly teenagers dressed in crazy outfits, danced to loud music … and changed people’ s lives. And we can’ t wait to do it again.

This winter, students at Peters Township Middle School took to the stage to perform Finding Nemo, Jr. This Disney classic, directed by Lorra Brannen, delighted packed audiences for four nights. With colorful costumes, lively music, and an enthusiastic cast and crew, our Middle School students brought the beloved underwater adventure to life. Under the sea magic continues at Peters Township High School, where the PTHS thespians are gearing up for their production of Disney’ s The Little Mermaid on April 16th-19th. Tickets are on sale now – check out the link on the district website at ptsd. k12. pa. us.
