Welcome to the April / May issue of IN Peters Township magazine.
In this issue, we’ re highlighting the vibrant experiences that make our township such an incredible place to call home. Our community truly shines in the summer months, thanks in large part to the fantastic lineup of programming curated by our dedicated Parks & Recreation Department.
We begin the season with the return of two local favorites this May. At Peterswood Park, the magic of Friday Night Flicks is back. There’ s something timeless about catching a movie under the stars at sunset— a simple pleasure whether you’ re sharing popcorn with family or relaxing under the evening sky. Midweek also gets a boost with Market in the Park. Starting at the end of May, our community comes together every Wednesday to support local small businesses and enjoy fresh foods and live music.
The excitement builds toward our signature summer tradition: the 46th Annual Peters Township Community Day on Saturday, June 27. This year, Rolling Hills Park will come alive with more than 150 vendor booths, free rides for the kids, and live entertainment. Whether you’ re there for the bounce houses and face painting or the spectacular evening fireworks, it’ s the perfect day to gather with friends and neighbors More details and a full list of summer camps, events and activities begin on page 22.
