SEW CREATIVE For adults only Monday , April 29 , 1:30 to 2:30 p . m . or 2:30 to 3:30 p . m . OR Monday , May 20 , 5:30 to 6:30 p . m . or 6:30 to 7:30 p . m . During this program , you will use the Makerspace ’ s sewing machines to create a fabric rubber backed jar opener for those stubborn lids ! Join Technology and Makerspace Librarian Sarah Quinn and learn how to use the Cricut to make a vinyl sticker . All materials will be provided . Please register for only one class .
3D MODELING INTRO For adults only Thursday , April 18 , 2 to 3:30 p . m . OR Thursday , May 16 , 2 to 3:30 p . m . Learn the basics of Tinkercad , a 3D modeling software as you are guided through a project to make a bookmark . We will be using the Tinkercad app on iPads , so all participants must have a basic understanding of how to use an iPad . Due to the time it takes to 3D print , participants will return to the library at a later date to pick up their 3D printed models .
NEEDLE FELTING For adults only , Thursday , April 25 , 2 to 3:30 p . m . For ages 13 and up , Thursday , April 25 , 6 to 7:30 p . m . Needle felting is transforming wool into 3D objects using a barbed needle . Learn how to create a needle-felted cloud project . The library will provide all materials . Please register for only one class .
3D PEN ART For adults only Friday , April 26 , 2 to 3:30 p . m . OR Friday , May 24 , 2 to 3:30 p . m . Create 3D designs using our 3D Pens ! A 3D pen extrudes heated plastic from the pen ’ s nozzle that cools almost instantly into a solid , stable structure , allowing for the free-hand creation of three-dimensional objects . We will have a variety of templates to choose from , or you can design your own .

3D PRINTING INTRO For adults only Friday , May 3 , 2:30 to 3:30 p . m . Learn how 3D printers work , see 3D printed objects , and discover how you can access and use the 3D printers in our makerspace .
EMBROIDERY MACHINE BASICS For adults only Monday , May 6 , 4:30 to 7:30 p . m . Register for a one-on-one session to learn how to use the Makerspace ’ s Baby Lock Aventura II Embroidery Machine . During this 45-minute session , you will learn the ins and outs of the embroidery machine and complete a small project to take home .
INTRO TO MACHINE SEWING For adults only Monday , May 13 , 6 to 7:30 p . m . Learn how to use the Makerspace sewing machines ! After the demonstration , participants will have the opportunity to try out a few stitches on our sewing machines and learn how they can access the machines outside of the program . This program is intended for beginners .
