Bayernhof Music Museum
HAVE A FIELD DAY!
The Verona Historical Society has some great field trips coming up for the summer.
On Saturday, July 11, the group will take a trip to the Bayernhof Music Museum in O’ Hara Township. An adult admission is $ 10( cash only) and those interested in attending should meet promptly in the Verona Borough Building parking lot at 9 a. m.
Saturday, Aug. 15, will be a visit to the Rachel Carson Homestead. The group will meet at the borough building parking lot at 11 a. m. for a one-hour tour that begins at noon.

LEARN TO CANOE!
Summer is the perfect time to learn how to canoe. Steel City Rowing Club is a nonprofit organization that offers training for youth and adults, and also holds day camps during the summer. There is a public boat launch in Verona and the group offers lessons for people of all ages and skill levels.
Canoeing is a historical tradition in the region. Although interest had waned somewhat after being extremely popular decades ago, the sport of rowing is making a comeback.
