CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULED FOR EARLY 2025
Easier access , a family restroom in the Children ’ s Library , and our old coffee shop area transformed into a new community meeting room are some of the changes in store for the library to kick off the new year .
The library foyer will be redone in a special no-slip flooring to reduce the risk of accidents for older adults during wet weather . In addition , new automatic doors will help adults with mobility problems ( or their arms full of books !) and parents with strollers with an easier path in and out of the facility .
The family restroom in the Children ’ s Library will allow families with multiple children to keep an eye on all of them without having to split their attention between the Children ’ s Library and adult restrooms .
We are especially looking forward to the new meeting space . As anyone who has scheduled time in our community room can attest , it is a busy place ! Rarely does a day go by without at least one scheduled meeting or program .
The conversion of the current coffee shop to an enclosed meeting space with access directly from the foyer will be the perfect place for book clubs and other smaller groups .
We will be open during this construction period , but access may be limited . Please follow our Facebook page for more information .
