CHECK OUT OUR NEWLY RENOVATED LIBRARY … AND A FEW NEW BOOKS WHILE YOU’ RE HERE!
Over the past six months, the Norwin Public Library has undergone its first facelift since construction of the building was completed way back in 2004.
Twenty years and well over 1 million(!) visitors later, the building was ready for a freshening up. We put in new carpet, a fresh coat of paint, and made a few other improvements that 20 years of hindsight let us know were necessary.
You’ ll notice the first as soon as you arrive. The old doors have been replaced with completely automated sliding doors. Elderly patrons, wheelchairs, walkers, and moms with strollers no longer have to fight their way into and out of the library.
We put a children only restroom in the children’ s room so that parents didn’ t have to pack up and shuffle multiple children back and forth to the lobby restroom while visiting.
And we answered the need for more community available space for business and local groups by transforming our coffee shop into a second, smaller community room for meetings and programs.
If you’ re a regular library user or someone who hasn’ t visited us in a while, this is a great time to get or renew your library card. We have something for everyone.
