EAST WINDS SYMPHONIC BAND ANNOUNCES FREE 2025 SUMMER CONCERT SERIES
The East Winds Symphonic Band( EWSB) is set to deliver a vibrant lineup of free concerts across Western Pennsylvania this summer. The concerts began on Flag Day this June and will continue with outdoor and indoor performances in Monroeville, Ligonier, Munhall and Coraopolis through mid- August. From relaxing evenings under the stars to cool escapes in air-conditioned venues, each concert features a joyful program of band favorites for all ages.
Highlights include performances at the Tall Trees Amphitheater( July 6), CCAC Boyce Campus( July 13), Ligonier’ s historic Diamond( July 27), St. John’ s Cathedral Center in Munhall( Aug. 3) and the riverside Broadway and First Park in Coraopolis( Aug. 17). Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for outdoor events and enjoy a summer of music made possible by local sponsors and community organizations.

THE WESTMORELAND UNVEILS EXHIBITION OF AARON GORSON’ S INDUSTRIAL LANDSCAPES WITH COMMENTARY BY MAXWELL KING
The Westmoreland Museum of American Art in Greensburg has announced a new exhibition—“ Works by Aaron Gorson, Words by Maxwell
King”— on view through fall 2025. The exhibit features striking industrial landscape paintings by Aaron Harry Gorson, known for his vivid depictions of Pittsburgh’ s steel mills, alongside insightful commentary by author Maxwell King. The text includes excerpts from King’ s forthcoming biography“ Fire in the Night Sky,” set for release in spring 2026.
King, a celebrated author and former president of The Pittsburgh Foundation, also selected and arranged the featured works, many of which are on loan from private collections. A special lecture by King will take place at the museum on Oct. 23, offering deeper insight into Gorson’ s life and legacy.

PITTSBURGH’ S FIRST LUXURY WIG SALON FOR CANCER PATIENTS & MORE CELEBRATES GRAND OPENING
A Pittsburgh’ s first luxury wig salon for cancer patients and others experiencing hair loss is celebrating its grand opening. Serenity Wig Salon, founded by cosmetologist Chami Saks, provides a warm and welcoming space for women to regain their confidence. The salon specializes in high-quality, ethically sourced European wigs designed for a natural look.
Inspired by her own hair loss journey during breast cancer treatment, Dance Moms star Kelly Hyland found comfort at Serenity. Clients like law student Isabelle, who struggled with alopecia, also praise the salon for its compassionate approach and life-changing transformations.
The grand opening event took place on Thursday, Mar. 6 at 7:30 p. m. at

AUBERLE CELEBRATES 37TH ANNUAL ALL- STAR BANQUET
