Fourth Annual ‘Country
Sounds for Soldiers’ Concert
for Operation Troop
Appreciation
Homegrown country artists with a “party
down South” attitude took the stage at Irwin’s
Lamp Theater on April 19 for the Fourth Annual
Country Sounds for Soldiers Concert. Sponsored
by S&T Bank, the concert raised over $2,000 for
Operation Troop Appreciation, a Pittsburgh-
based nonprofit that provides support for
members of the military community and their
families. Military vehicles delivered veterans
to the event and they were entertained by an
incredible lineup of local musicians.
Since 2004, Operation Troop Appreciation
(OTA), a 100-percent-volunteer charity, has been
dedicated to supporting both active and veteran
members of our Armed Forces. Approximately
90 percent of all funding and donations from this
volunteer organization goes directly to troops and
veterans. More than 171,000 servicemembers and
veterans have received help through OTA.
