The 6th Annual Cubcake Wars
The 6th Annual Cubcake Wars event was held the
afternoon of March 11 at Stratigos Banquet Centre.
Each year, this fundraiser supports the Norwin Lions
Club project “Kitty Sacks,” which fills backpacks with
kid-friendly/healthy food for children in the community.
The club currently serves Hahntown Elementary, Sunset
Valley Elementary, Stewartsville Elementary and Hillcrest
Intermediate.
The event was fun and free for all ages. More than 25
bakers from local organizations, schools, groups and
businesses gathered to compete, with donations given to
taste each baker’s amazing “cubcakes.”
