INEVENTS NORWIN PLAY IT FORWARD FUND CELEBRATES EIGHTH SUITE YEAR WITH COFFEEHOUSE EVENT Norwin Play it Forward Fund presented the 8th annual Suite Café, a family-friendly coffeehouse event to benefit the fund, at Norwin High School on Saturday, May 13, at 7 p.m. Suite Café is one of two annual signature events supporting the fund. The evening featured musical entertainment by Norwin instrumental students and their instructors, a desserts and popcorn bar catered by Pittsburgh Popcorn Factory, coffee and tea. Several door prizes, a 50/50 raffle and a live cake auction were also featured. Norwin Play it Forward Fund, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, provides need-based grants for motivated Norwin instrumental students in grades four through 12 who desire to improve their musical performance by taking private music lessons or attending summer music camps. The goal for students who benefit is to ultimately play it forward in the future – either financially or by giving their time and talent to help mentor other students – thereby helping to attract and retain membership in the historically successful band and orchestra programs, as well as to support the arts in the Norwin School District. The fund has supported over 60 students to date with subsidized lessons, and has provided camp grants to over two dozen students. Photos by Primetime Shots 10 724.942.0940 TO ADVERTISE | Norwin
