A Knight of Distinguished Alumni
First Annual Recognition Dinner

O
ver the years, the Norwin School
District has graduated tens of
thousands of students, many of whom have
gone on to change the world, touching the
lives of their fellow man.
Ten of these outstanding graduates –
and one special friend of Norwin -- came
back to Norwin for a night of special
recognition at the first-annual Knight of
Distinguished Alumni recognition dinner
Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Stratigos
Banquet Centre. Nearly 200 people
attended the event.
After a buffet dinner, the Norwin Alumni
and Friends Association (NAFA) introduced
and honored the inaugural class of
Distinguished Alumni. These honorees have
demonstrated how the quality education
they received, along with the support
of a nurturing community, served as a
springboard to great achievements.

Graduating senior and valedictorian Hunter Stecko was awarded a
scholarship from Norwin Alumni and Friends Association.
The evening was emceed by Robert “Bo” Garritano. Music from over the
decades was provided by Al Bergman, Class of 1978.

competed at Norwin High School’s first Invitational
Quiz Tournament on
Saturday, February 4, 2017.
