Thanks to a newly forged relationship with Pittsburgh’s local Moe’s franchise group, parties in 2016 also feature fresh, handcrafted southwestern fare coupled with the signature “Welcome to Moe’s” fun that the burrito joint is known for, at no cost to the rapidly growing non-profit. With seven locations in the Pittsburgh region, and having grown to one of the area’s largest caterers, local Moe’s franchisees Mike Geiger and John Iaquinta realized they were in a unique position to join the Beverly’s Birthdays mission and elevate awareness of the non-profit organization. The partnership’s hallmark will feature a “Buy One, Give One” birthday party catering program. Every time a Pittsburgh-area family uses Moe’s to cater their own child’s birthday party, their purchase will directly contribute to catering a Beverly’s Birthdays party at no cost. The two organizations expect to feed and party with over 5,000 people at events in 2016, spread over 20+ shelters and agencies in the Pittsburgh region. “We hope this is just the beginning of a long-term relationship that will eventually touch the lives of many children,” says both Geiger and Yunn – with two very big smiles!
