Norwin Lady Knights Soccer Team Honored in Harrisburg
State Representative George Dunbar and State Senator
Kim Ward jointly honored the Norwin Lady Knights Varsity
Soccer Team for winning the 2017 State Class 4A Girls’
Soccer Championship. The team members, along with
coaches and assistant coaches, were recognized at the
State Capitol in Harrisburg in January. The day included
tours and special citations from the Pennsylvania Senate
and House of Representatives. Governor Tom Wolf also
joined in the accolades.
“It was a memorable day from start to finish,” head
coach Lauren Karcher said of the Harrisburg trip.
“The girls certainly made us proud as they were all
humble, professional, and continually showed interest
throughout the day. We appreciate all of the support
we had along the way this season. It is definitely one
we will all remember for the rest of our lives.”
