A FLUTTER OF
EXCITEMENT:
MONARCH BUTTERFLY
RELEASE IS HOSTED
BY BRADFORD WOODS
CONSERVANCY
According to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife
Service, 970 million monarch butterflies
have vanished since 1990. To raise
awareness, Bradford Woods Conservancy
recently hosted a Monarch Butterfly
Release and Storytelling Night for the
public at the Bradford Woods Reserve on
Bradford Road.
Guests helped release three dozen
butterflies into the reserve, which contains
three different types of milkweed plants
that will help the butterflies thrive.
For more information on programs
at the reserve for the whole family, visit
