NEW BOARD CHAIR
The YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh
has elected Marshall Township resident
David Bluemling, a partner with BKD
LLP, as the new chair of the Association
Board of Directors. Bluemling has served
on the board for over five years and on
ranch advisory boards for over 20 years.
He previously served as vice chair of
the board.
“David has been a dedicated volunteer
and advocate for the YMCA of Greater
Pittsburgh for many years,” said Kevin
Bolding, YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh
President and CEO. “Before joining the
Association Board of Directors, David
served as board advisor for the Baierl
Family YMCA and YMCA Camp Kon-
O-Kwee Spencer, raising more than
$100,000 for our disability programs. A
dynamic and passionate leader, David
is already looking at ways to strengthen
our financial sustainability and mission
advancement in the community.”
Bluemling is a partner at the Pittsburgh
office of BKD CPAs & Advisors, one
of the nation’s largest accounting and
advisory firms. He specializes in both
domestic and international tax and
handles wealth transfer planning including
fiduciary representation for foundations,
trusts and estates.
An alumnus of Indiana University of
Pennsylvania (IUP), Bluemling graduated
with a Bachelor of Science in accounting
and is currently a board member of the

NEW CFO
Wexford-based InVision Human
Services announced the appointment
of Michael Wassil to the position of
chief financial officer. In this capacity,
Wassil will have responsibility for
leading the financial plans and strategies
for the nonprofit organization and its
subsidiaries.
Wassil has nearly 30 years of experience
in finance and most recently served as
InVision’s director of finance. Prior to
InVision, he was a consulting partner
with a regional CPA firm where he
provided advisory services for human
service organizations throughout the
Commonwealth.
He is a graduate of Robert Morris
University (RMU) where he received
his bachelor’s degree in administration.
Wassil also earned his MBA from RMU,
and he is a certified public accountant.
Wassil currently lives in Bethel Park with
his wife and three children.
