Star Wars Day Saturday, June 2, from 12 to 4 p. m. Join us to kick off summer reading with our very own Star Wars Day all-ages extravaganza! Schedule of events: Noon – Stop by one of our welcoming tables to get a list of the day’ s activities and learn about summer reading 12 to 4 p. m. – Various craft projects will be going on down in the CATS department or get started on our scavenger hunt 1 to 3 p. m. – Head outside to get a picture with members of the 501st Legion 1 to 2 p. m. – Join us for the Kids / Family trivia contest in the meeting rooms 2 to 3 p. m. – Join us for the Adult trivia contest * in the meeting rooms * To register for one of the trivia contests, call or stop by the CATS or Adult reference desks * 3 to 4 p. m. – Head outside to round out the day with a costume contest
Mother Goose Rhyme Time Tickles, Bounces and Library Fun for Little Ones Mondays, June 4 through August 6 Crawlers: 9:30 a. m. in the Playful Parenting Room Walkers: 10:30 a. m. under the tree in the Children’ s room A program for babies and toddlers with a grown-up that introduces early literacy skills in a playful way. Please note that the 9:30 sessions are for babies not yet walking. If you have both a baby and a toddler, plan to bring them both to the 10:30 sessions. No registration is needed.

2018 Summer Reading Kickoff Saturday, June 9, from 1 to 3 p. m. Please stop in and help us celebrate the start of Summer Reading! This year’ s theme is“ Reading Rocks!” and we will start off the summer with a fun day of crafts, summer reading sign-ups and more! At 3 p. m. we will have the antibullying rock n’ roll hip-hop comedy duo of Josh and Gab performing! Josh and Gab have formed an unforgettable, high-energy musical comedy duo with a focus on an anti-bullying message. No registration required.
Maker Mondays in the Summer for Teens Every Monday from June 9 through July 31 at 2 p. m. No registration required and all materials are provided. Open to all rising sixth to twelfth graders. Teen Tech Afternoons – Coding and Stop Motion Projects Tuesdays, June 12 through July 31, from 3 to 4 p. m. in the Board Room We will use the library’ s computer lab to explore beginning coding through Scratch and other easy coding programs. You can also make stop motion animation movies. We will provide the iPads for the movies. Work in groups or alone. Registration is required.
Lego Club! Mondays from 10:30 to 11:30 a. m. June 18 and 25 July 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 Children going into second through fifth grades are welcome to come join us on Mondays for an hour of engineering and Lego fun! No registration required! n
