FRANKLIN PARK COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIP 18TH ANNUAL GOLF OUTING Event will be hosted by Shannopin Country Club Monday, July 27 LA ROCHE WOMEN’S SOCCER TRAVELS TO ITALY AND SPAIN What’s the connection between the La Roche women’s soccer team’s unforgettable trip to Italy and Spain and summer soccer camps? An important one, as it turns out. The team needed to raise 100 percent of the trip’s cost, and their work at the camps provided most of that money. Head Coach Miguel Lozano oversees the camps, and his players earn money by assisting the licensed coaches. Lozano’s childhood in Spain shapes the camp philosophy. “We played soccer in the street. We got better because we weren’t afraid to make mistakes. We learned the rules because we used them during the games. The game is the best teacher.” WEXFORD ACTING STUDIO’S SPRING SHOWCASE Wexford Acting Studio wraps up its 10-month program every year with a spring showcase.
