September is the Time to Truly Love Your Library!
Do you visit the Northland Library often or has it been a while? In either case, we hope that when you think of us your memories and experiences here bring a smile to your face!
If you are too busy to see what is new and happening at the library, we hope that you are taking advantage of the many resources and services that are now delivered electronically via free apps you can download in your app store to connect to our collection of ebooks, audiobooks, downloadable magazines, movies, TV shows, music, comics and much more! You can even learn a language by using your library card to log into Mango Languages! Visit our website at northlandlibrary. org to take advantage of all this and more. You may even find a program or two worth stopping in for!
Open since 1968, Northland Library is the second largest library in Allegheny County and is primarily funded by five supporting municipalities: Bradford Woods, Franklin Park, Marshall, McCandless and Ross. It is through this financial support and other generous contributions that we are able to continue to deliver the quality resources and programs our patrons have grown accustomed to.
Thanks to a generous gift by the Jack Buncher Foundation, all the public libraries in Allegheny County will be participating in Library Match Month throughout the month of September. Gifts of up to $ 500 will be partially matched on a prorated basis, as will funds raised through most other funding campaigns and events.
So if you love Northland, September is the ideal time to show your love! Gifts can be made in person at the library, through the mail or through the Northland Public Library Foundation’ s secure online giving button on northlandlibrary. org. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for loving your library!
