campus in State College. She will join her sister, Regina (NA Class of
2014), there, as they both complete their higher education. Rodi is
looking forward to her pursuits in the teaching profession.
She is grateful to the North Allegheny Federation of Teachers for
the award, and to the talented teachers who have mentored her thus
far in her studies.

COMMUNITY DAY WITH THE
TOWN OF MCCANDLESS
The Town of McCandless plans to celebrate its 16th annual
Community Day on Saturday, Sept. 10. The event will kick-off with
a parade at 12:15 p.m., followed by an opening ceremony. The event
will conclude at 9 p.m. with a fireworks show.
The Frank J. Farina Memorial Car Cruise will take place from 2 to 6
p.m. at North Allegheny Intermediate School on Cumberland Road.
Car cruisers are permitted to participate in the parade as well.
Confirmed entertainment acts include dance performances by
Center Stage and Michele’s Dance Studio, a puppet show from
Pittsburgh Puppet Works and music by the Red Hot Ramblers, El
Dorado, Kardaz Brothers,
