FRMS Anime Club’ s Service Project for # OnigiriAction
FRMS Anime Club advisor, Mr. Brandon Aganad, shows Owen Yanovich how to form Onigiri, a Japanese rice ball often seen in anime.
During the months of October and November, the Franklin Regional Middle School( FRMS) Anime Club participated in a Service Project for # OnigiriAction. Not only did students learn how to make Onigiri, a Japanese rice ball often seen in anime shows, they also supported the Table for Two initiative to decrease food insecurity around the world. The club promoted to the FRSD community that for every Japanese riceball-related social media post with the tag # OnigiriAction until Nov. 15, Table for Two would provide five school meals to children in need around the world. Through this process, students in the club connected their passions to service.
