INEVENTS MECDC Presents Taste of Murrysville and Fashion Show The Murrysville Economic and Community Development Corporation’s Fashion Show and Taste of Murrysville event was held on Thursday, Aug. 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Franklin Regional Middle School. This was the kick-off event for what Mayor Rege Synan proclaimed as “Love Your Local” Weekend. The evening featured the latest fashions from local boutiques, and there was something for everyone—wedding dresses, homecoming dresses, fall fashions for women, and back-to-school styles for students modeled by local residents. Guests were also able to enjoy a taste of the best eateries in town and try to win gift baskets from local stores at the Chinese raffle. Boutiques represented were Bare It, Simplicity, Katwalk, Exquisite Bride, and Contemporary Concept Too paired with accessories from Golden Creations, Gifted Hands, Your Family Eye Doctors and Dancer’s Closet. Eateries included Atria’s, Spinola Bake Shop, North Park Lounge, Starbucks, The Olive Merchant, Giant Eagle and Fox’s Pizza. Hair and makeup accessories were provided by Artisan Color Spa-Salon, European Wax Center, and Amazing Lash Studio. Other local businesses also had tables with items to purchase. Donna’s Dance Studio kicked off the Fashion Show with a special dance number, and the Franklin Regional Band Flute Trio provided live music for the event. MECDC is a private, nonprofit organization committed to improving the appearance, value and quality of Route 22 and the Business District for the use of residents. Its priority is to provide assistance and information to established and new businesses in the Murrysville area. Photos by Viglione Photography, Inc. 12 724.942.0940 TO ADVERTISE | Murrysville
