Summer Running( and Walking)
Five Star Trail Poker Run
When: July 19 Where: Five Star Trail, Kaufman Pavilion at Lynch Field, 520 New Alexandria Road, Greensburg For more info: westmorelandcountypa. gov
This is not a race. Each participant will stop at various checkpoints along the trail where they will choose a playing card from a deck. At the end, each participant will have assembled a complete poker hand. Those with the best three hands will receive a trophy and prize package. Collect from one or several stations— walk, bike, or jog as far as you’ d like. Door prizes will also be given away.
Road to Trail 5K Run and Walk

The annual Road to Trail Run and Walk will take place once again in scenic White Oak Park. The race starts and ends on road while the middle 2 miles are through wooded trails and grass fields. Trophies are given to overall winners, and medals to the top three in each age group.
Westmoreland Yough Trail Chapter Poker Run

Lace up your sneakers or hop on your bike for a 2-mile walk, 12-mile ride, or 20- mile bike ride along the scenic GAP trail. Participants can collect a full poker hand at five stops along the route. Those with the three best poker hands win a trophy and prizes.
