Artists of All Ages!
Farmers’ Market and
Farmhouse Kids’ Club
Fresh produce, baked
goods and organic meats
and produce are just a
few of the tantalizing local
products found at the
Murrysville Farmers’ Market
each Thursday, June through
September, 3:00-7:00 p.m. In
its third season, the Market continues to grow both in the number
of vendors attending and the number of customers each week
seeking out their favorite products. The Market also offers hot foods
such as kettle corn, barbeque meats, funnel cakes, fresh lemonade,
wood fired pizza and more, all of which can be enjoyed at a table
under the pavilion or prepared “to go.” The Market, hosted by the
Murrysville Recreation Department and the Murrysville Volunteer
Fire Company, opens June 9 and runs weekly through September
29 and is located at the MVFC Fireman’s field, 3235 Sardis Road,
Murrysville.
The Farmhouse Kids’
Club will be celebrating
its second season at the
Murrysville Market, offering
free weekly activities for kids
ages 3-12 while they are at
the Market. Sponsored by
First Commonwealth Bank,
the Farmhouse Kids’ Club strives to teach children about healthy
lifestyles, better food choices, animals and farming through fun
weekly activities. When the weekly activity is completed, the
children earn “coins” that can be spent with their favorite vendors
at the Market. This has proven to be a successful partnership for the
vendors, children and families alike, as it generates revenue and
teaches money management for the children, all while learning
about our farmers and their products! The Farmhouse Kids’ Club
will operate during normal business hours of the Market but only
during the weeks of June 16-September 1.
