It was a fun morning to raise funds for the Turtle Creek Extension of the Westmoreland Heritage Trail, which included many indoor activities, an optional short hike and lunch. Strong participation in these marches has been a big help for Westmoreland County to secure government and foundation grant funding for purchase of the rail corridor and construction of the trail. More information about the trail project is available at murrysvilletrails.org/tc.htm.
