SUPERINTENDENT’ S MESSAGE
ELEVATING OPPORTUNITY, TOGETHER
Enhancing the whole child experience through field improvements and community partnerships
Dear Franklin Regional Community,
At Franklin Regional, our mission is grounded in four core pillars: academics, arts, athletics, and citizenship. These values guide our decisions, shape our priorities, and ensure that every student has the opportunity to grow, lead, and succeed.
As we look to the future, we remain deeply committed to supporting the whole child experience. One important step in that effort is enhancing our athletic fields and outdoor learning spaces.
“ Our goal is simple: to create spaces where students learn, compete, perform, and grow, while strengthening the connection between our schools and our community.”
While athletic fields are most often associated with competition and school pride, their value extends far beyond the scoreboard. High-quality facilities provide safe, modern environments where students develop teamwork, resilience, leadership, and accountability, all qualities that reinforce success in the classroom and throughout life.
These spaces also serve as dynamic outdoor learning environments. Physical education classes use them to promote healthy lifestyles and student wellness. Science classes utilize open spaces for applied learning and experimentation. Our arts programs benefit from outdoor rehearsal and performance opportunities. Most importantly, these areas become gathering places where students, families, and community members come together to celebrate Franklin Regional and strengthen the bonds that define our community.
Preparing students for the future is a shared responsibility. It requires collaboration among our schools, families, local businesses, and community partners. At the same time, Franklin Regional remains committed to being responsible stewards of public resources.
For this reason, the District is working alongside the Franklin Regional Panther Foundation to pursue community partnerships, corporate sponsorships, and namingrights opportunities to support these improvements. This approach allows us to enhance facilities for students while minimizing the financial impact on taxpayers.
Our community has always been one of Franklin Regional’ s greatest strengths. Through collaboration with local businesses, alumni, families, and friends of the district, we can create facilities that reflect the pride, tradition, and excellence that define Franklin Regional while maintaining our focus on educational priorities.
If you are interested in learning more about partnership opportunities or supporting this effort, please contact Deana Callipare, Director of Communications and Development, at dcallipare @ frsdk12. org.
This initiative is about far more than improving fields. It is about creating spaces where students build character, pursue excellence, and represent our community with pride. It is about strengthening the opportunities that define Franklin Regional— academics, arts, athletics, and citizenship— and ensuring that our students continue to thrive for generations to come.
Thank you for your continued support of our schools and for your shared commitment to the success of every Franklin Regional student. With sincere gratitude,
