WHAT’S NEWS IN MURRYSVILLE PUPPY PLAYDATES AT WALKERS PET HOTAIL Dates: February 20, March 19, April 16 Time: 7 to 8 p.m. Monthly Puppy Parties are back by popular demand, under the revised format of Puppy Playdates! Focusing on group play, by size of dog, the free Puppy Playdates will be in Walkers All-Day-Play Center. They are for pets up to 2 years old. All pets over 6 months must be spayed/neutered in order to attend, and must be current with Rabies, Distemper, and GARDEN CLUB OF MONROEVILLE PLANT SALE On Saturday, May 2, the Garden Club of Monroeville will hold its spring plant sale at the Monroeville Community Park, Pavilion 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The sale will feature annuals, herbs, hanging baskets, floral wreaths and decorative pots. A repotting service will be available for those who want their root- bound houseplants transplanted in a larger pot. The proceeds from the sale support three local gardens maintained by the club, a sick plant clinic at a local personal care home, adult education programs and activities for children sponsored by the local library and arts council. Dek Hockey Leagues Dek is played like ice hockey but on sneakers, not skates. It’s fast and very exciting to play! There are different leagues for ages 4 to 16 and teams play twice a week. NORTH PITTSBURGH QUILTERS GUILD QUILT SHOW COMING IN APRIL The NPQG quilt show is a biennial event and will be held April 24-26 at the Ross Township Community Center. This year’s theme is “Log Cabin Fever.” Over 100 quilts will be displayed and there will be a variety of vendors, chances to win a dream basket and sewing machines, and a quilt appraiser. Entry submissions are open to the public for this juried show. Tickets to win the Log Cabin Raffle Quilt are being sold by members and available in some area quilt shops.
