WHAT’S NEWS IN MURRYSVILLE THIRD ANNUAL DELMONT DAZE On Saturday, Sept. 10, Delmont Borough will be hosting a “daze” of fun! The third annual Delmont Daze will begin at 9 a.m. with a 5K race sponsored by the Delmont Library and Delmont Volunteer Fire Department. Medals will be awarded to the first three finishers in each age group of each division. Proceeds from the race’s entry fee will benefit the Delmont VFD. The pre-registration deadline for the race is Saturday, Aug. 27. For more information, call the Delmont Library at 724.468.5329. Following the race, Delmont Daze will continue from noon to 7 p.m. in Delmont’s Rose Wigfield Parklet. There will be fun-filled activities for all ages including delicious food, music, a Chinese auction, a 50/50 raffle and much more. Live music will be provided by Tim Roberts and Stacey Meyers from 3 to 6 p.m. Baskets, coupons, certificates and/or monetary donations are being accepted toward the event’s Chinese auction. FUN EVENTS IN DELMONT EXPORT ETHNIC FOODS AND MUSIC FESTIVAL This year’s Export Ethnic Foods and Music Festival will take place in downtown Export on Aug. 20 from noon to 9 p.m. Children’s activities, crafts, food vendors and more will line the streets, and live music will be provided by Djuro Klipa, Jack Tady Bears, Single Barrel and the Tim Woods Family Band throughout the day. Festival T-shirts are available at Master Auto in downtown Export and Spaghetti and Steak House on Rt. 22. Short-sleeved shirts are $10 and long-sleeved are $12.
