Franklin Regional Middle School (FRMS) students (left to right): Bryan McShea, Selena LaVelle and Mia
Rossi, all 8th graders, are shown applying STREAM (science, technology, research, engineering, art, and
mathematics) concepts to their project, which enables the students to utilize skills such as designing,
problem solving, critical thinking, and creativity when developing a hands-on project. FRMS and the
Franklin Regional Senior High School are already infusing STREAM into the curriculum. The district plans
to make STREAM a district-wide focus to enhance K-12 learning.
