Lebanon, not to mention residents of the rest of Pittsburgh, visit us, but there are many others who do not know The Book Cellar is a real bricks-and-mortar used bookstore,” says David McKibben, Friends of Mt. Lebanon Library president and Book Cellar volunteer coordinator. “We have people from Ohio and West Virginia who stop on their way to and from Pittsburgh events, but we would like to have more people from everywhere make us a must-shop spot.” All bookstore proceeds benefit Mt. Lebanon Public Library. Since its opening, The Book Cellar has raised more than $600,000 for library programming and other special needs that are not funded by the library’s traditional funding sources.
