CHILDREN’ S MUSICAL TO BE PRESENTED AT ST. THOMAS MORE
Amanda Rhoades, a 2015 alumna of Bethel Park High School, is directing her fifth children’ s Christian musical at St. Thomas More this summer called“ 7 Days of Creation.” It features children going into grades 2 through 8 who are interested in singing, dancing and / or acting, and making new friends through fellowship.
Performances are on Saturday, July 29, at 7 p. m., and Sunday, July 30, at 1:15 p. m. Cost of the show is free. In lieu of an admission fee, please bring nonperishable food items, which will be donated to South Hills Interfaith Movement. At-will donations will also be accepted.

ALLEGHENY COUNTY ANNOUNCES SATURDAY HOURS FOR MARRIAGE LICENSES AND PASSPORTS THROUGH OCT. 28
The county’ s marriage license and passport office will offer Saturday hours over the summer to accommodate requests for more convenience. Begun in April and running through October, the office will be open 9 a. m. to 4 p. m. on Saturdays. These hours are in addition to the office’ s regular hours of 8:30 a. m. to 4:30 p. m., Monday through Friday.
Marriage license services are available to residents of any county who are intending to marry in Pennsylvania. The marriage license process includes completing an application and appearing at the marriage license office.
No appointment is necessary. For additional information and to start the marriage license process, go to alleghenycounty. us / marriage. Applications will not be processed after 4 p. m. on weekdays or after 3:30 p. m. on Saturdays. Passport services are available to all U. S. citizens, regardless of county or state of residence. First-time applicants for a passport book or passport card must complete and submit an application in person, along with proof of U. S. citizenship, proof of identity and two photographs. Children’ s applications have additional requirements. Unlike other passport locations, no appointment is necessary at the Allegheny County passport office. DE MARILLAC GUILD FLEA MARKET
The DeMarillac Guild will hold its annual flea market,“ Timeless Treasures,” from 9 a. m. to 5 p. m. Friday, July 21, and 9 a. m. to 1 p. m. Saturday, July 22, in the LeGras Parish Center( lower level), 320 McMurray Road, Upper St. Clair.

CHABAD OF SOUTH HILLS SPRING EVENT
Chabad of the South Hills presented the 11th Annual Women’ s Spring Event on May 24. It was a fun and inspiring evening featuring guest speaker and licensed psychologist Sharon Saul. TOWN HALL SOUTH ANNOUNCES 2017‐18 SPEAKER SERIES
Town Hall South is a philanthropic organization dedicated to bringing nationally and internationally acclaimed lecturers to the South Hills.
Founded in 1969 as an outreach program of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Upper St. Clair, Town Hall South continues to function as a self-sustaining entity under the gracious auspices of the church.
Annually, a portion of proceeds is awarded as grants to a wide variety of local organizations in the surrounding community.

MURPHY HONORS LEBO WWII VETERAN PAUL STEITZ
Congressman Tim Murphy honored local World War II veteran Paul Steitz at a medal ceremony in Mt. Lebanon. Steitz, 96, currently serves as a crossing guard at Hoover Elementary School. Private Steitz’ s family, as well as students from Hoover Elementary, attended the ceremony.
“ Honoring those who have served our nation is one of the most important responsibilities I have in representing Pennsylvania’ s 18th Congressional District,” said Congressman Murphy.“ I thank Private Steitz for his brave service, as well as my hardworking staff who made sure he received the recognition he deserved.”
Murphy presented Steitz with his welldeserved medals.
In January, 2017, Steitz contacted Murphy’ s office concerning his VA benefits. After learning he was a WWII veteran, Murphy’ s office encouraged him to request a replacement set of medals. He received the Purple Heart, Bronze Star Medal, Presidential Unit Citation, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with 3 bronze stars, American Campaign Medal, WWII Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantry Badge 1st Award, Sharpshooter
