How to Build a Computer
10 a.m., Monday, August 1
Children ages 10-13 can learn how to
assemble a working desktop computer and
discover the components that make up a
computer interact with each other. Register
in the Children’s Library starting Monday,
July 18.
Crazy 8s Math Club
11 a.m., Tuesdays, August 2, 9, 16, 23
Kids entering grades 1-3 can join Crazy
8s, where they’ll build stuff, run and jump,
make music, make a mess. It’s a totally
new kind of math club. Space is limited;
pre-register for this four-week math club
starting July 18 in the Children’s Library.

Sciencetellers
6:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 2
Sciencetellers will make things fly, spin,
move, and soar while telling a series of
stories that will energize your summer.
Hands-on experiments will have kids
laughing, learning, and having fun as they
discover what makes us move and what
powers the world. For the whole family.
The program will be held on Southminster
lawn, or in the church’s Fellowship Hall if it
rains.
LeboLab: Marble Run
6:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 9, and
Wednesday, August 10
Two awesome creation workshops where
kids entering 4th, 5th, and 6th grades
will learn about the engineering design
process and then work in teams using
recycled materials to design their own
marble run. Must attend both nights.
Pre‑registration begins July 18 in the
Children’s Library.
Family Fort Night
4:30-6 p.m., Saturday, August 13
Bring a blanket, pillows, and a flashlight
and build a fort in the library after hours.
There will time for reading some books
together in the forts as well as storytime
and s’mores making. Program begins
promptly at 4:45. Please be on time and
in the storyroom since the library doors
will be locked soon after. For children
ages 4-8 and their families. Space is
limited; pre‑register starting July 18 in the
Children’s Library.
Run Antonio Run!
6:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 24
Based on the inspiring life story of Steeler
Antonio Brown, Stage Right Books Come
Alive Theater presents a new original show
about overcoming obstacles and believing
in yourself. Kids will love the story of how
young Antonio beats all the odds on his
way to becoming a superstar NFL receiver.
